An NFC phone tag is a thin sticker with a built-in NFC chip. You place it on the back of your phone or case, and when someone taps their phone on it, your digital profile opens. Your phone becomes your business card.
How an NFC tag works
NFC (Near Field Communication) only works within a few centimetres. The tag's chip has no battery: it draws power from the phone reading it and sends it a link, which the phone opens in the browser — no app needed.
On the TagTouch NFC tag the link leads to your digital profile or to your own link. You can change your profile any time without changing the tag.
What the other person sees
- Name, job title, photo and logo.
- Buttons to call, email and visit your website.
- Your social media.
- A "Save contact" button that adds you to their contacts in one tap.
Where to place the NFC tag
Place it on the back of your phone or on the case, somewhere that easily touches another phone. If your phone charges wirelessly, avoid the centre of the back or stick it on the outside of the case.
NFC tag or NFC card?
The tag is always with you, because it sits on your phone. The NFC card is handed over or shown at meetings and carries your printed name and logo. You can use both: the tag for quick introductions and the card for more formal meetings.
